I have to say, libraries don't often understand the importance of Web 2.0 and what it can mean for their libraries. Web 2.0 will help libraries to better connect to the community. I have to agree with you, the young generation will be more clued-up with Web 2.0 technologies. However, it is our responsibility (as librarians) to teach the older generation to effectively make use of Web 2.0.
Obviously, more Web 2.0 training courses should be run at libraries. Regards, Lizelle
Libraries certainly need Web 2.0. However, rest assured the younger generation will use - will the older generation be lagging behind?
